School Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
                                  
Attendance:  Day of illness:
Send an email to westsylvanoffice@pps.net, or call the school office at 503 916 5690 and leave a message on the absence line - include the student's full name and reason for absence.  Speak slowly and clearly and it does help if you could spell out their name.

Return to school after illness:
 Upon return to school, please send a note with student to turn in to the office at the start of school day. List current date, student's name, days out, reason, and signed by parent/guardian. Or call/email the office and advise same information as on note.

Scheduled appointments:
Please send an email to westsylvanoffice@pps.net to notify the office of any early pickups. If students are picked up early, they must be physically signed out by a Parent/Guardian in the school office. We can not call students out of class to wait in the office until the Parent/Guardian arrives, but we will call your student out of class as soon as they have been signed out.

Emergency appointments:
Parents/Guardians, please go to school office to pick up and sign out student. Please allow time for office to contact student in the classroom and for student to gather their belongings. 

Change to bus routine:
Send a note with student to hand in to office at the start of school day. Include name of student and instructions regarding change of buses (i.e. student name, date, ...is taking bus #115 instead of bus #120).
